International Open Call for Artists

Theme:
  • Spring Through My Eyes

  • The Women in Arts Network is thrilled to announce an open call for submissions under the theme, “Spring Through My Eyes.”

Spring has long been a season of renewal, softness, and quiet transformation. It carries with it a sense of hope, of things beginning again, of light returning, of growth unfolding in its own time. From the first bloom after a long winter to the subtle shifts in color, air, and energy, spring is not just a season, it is a feeling, a moment of change, and a reminder that life is always in motion.

We invite women artists from around the world to interpret this theme through their own personal lens. “Spring Through My Eyes” is about how you experience this season, what it looks like, what it feels like, and what it means to you. It may appear in your work through blooming flowers, shifting landscapes, gentle light, or the vibrancy of life returning. It may also take form in more abstract or emotional ways, as a symbol of new beginnings, healing, growth, or transformation.

This open call encourages you to reflect on your own connection to spring. Does it represent renewal, joy, nostalgia, or change? Is it rooted in memory, environment, or imagination? Whether your work is grounded in realism or leans toward abstraction, whether it captures quiet moments or bold expressions, your perspective is welcome.

Through painting, photography, sculpture, digital art, collage, textiles, or any medium of your choice, we invite you to explore and express the many meanings of spring as you see it.

Your unique vision has the power to reveal how this season lives within you, in color, in form, and in feeling. We look forward to experiencing spring through your eyes.

Important: Please note that all submitted artwork will undergo a juried selection process, and inclusion is not guaranteed.

    Submissions Guidlines

🌸 Theme: Spring Through My Eyes

“Spring Through My Eyes” invites artists to explore the season of spring as a personal experience, a moment of change, renewal, and quiet transformation seen through your own unique lens.

This theme is intentionally open and flexible, allowing you to interpret spring in any way that resonates with your artistic practice. Spring can be literal, blooming flowers, soft light, fresh landscapes, or it can be emotional and symbolic, representing new beginnings, healing, growth, or the passing of time.

For some artists, this theme may reflect the visible beauty of the season, gardens in bloom, shifting skies, longer days, and the gentle return of life after stillness. For others, it may represent inner experiences, a sense of renewal, personal transformation, nostalgia, or hope. And for many, spring may appear as a feeling rather than a place, expressed through color, texture, memory, or imagination.

Whether your work is grounded in observation or guided by emotion, whether it leans toward realism, abstraction, or conceptual storytelling, your interpretation is welcome. You may explore:

Blooming flowers, gardens, and natural landscapes
    Light, color, and seasonal transitions
Themes of growth, renewal, and new beginnings
Personal reflections, memories, or emotions connected to spring
Abstract or symbolic interpretations of change and transformation

Artists from all mediums, painting, photography, sculpture, collage, mixed media, textiles, digital art, video, installation, or other forms are encouraged to share work that reflects how you see and experience spring.

With “Spring Through My Eyes,” we invite you to capture not just the season, but the feeling of it. A moment of becoming, a shift in energy, a quiet unfolding.

We look forward to seeing spring through your eyes.

The Women in Arts Network is proud to launch a new project designed to provide women artists with visibility, recognition, and meaningful engagement with global audiences. This initiative combines a curated digital showcase with opportunities for deeper storytelling, offering artists a platform to share both their work and their creative journey.

    Virtual Exhibition

The central feature of this project is an international virtual exhibition presented through an interactive online gallery. Accessible worldwide, the exhibition will bring together a diverse selection of works, highlighting the talent and voices of women artists across mediums and disciplines. This format ensures that participating artists gain global exposure while making their art accessible to collectors, curators, and art enthusiasts everywhere.

    Artist Interview

As an additional opportunity, artists may choose to enhance their participation by being featured in a published interview. These interviews, hosted on the Women in Arts Network platform, spotlight each artist’s process, influences, and vision, offering valuable insight into their practice. The interviews are also promoted across our social media channels, extending reach and engagement beyond the exhibition itself.

This add-on feature allows artists to complement the visual presentation of their work with narrative context, creating a fuller picture of their creative practice and connecting with audiences on a more personal level.

    Purpose and Impact

By combining the accessibility of a virtual exhibition with the option of extended storytelling through interviews, this project supports women artists in building visibility, credibility, and meaningful connections. It is a platform that celebrates creativity while amplifying individual voices within a larger, global dialogue.

    How It Works:

    • Artists can choose to participate in just the Virtual Exhibition or both the Virtual Exhibition and Artist Interview.
    • All submissions for the Virtual Exhibition will gain global exposure online.
    • Those who opt into the Artist Interview will enjoy featured media placement, highlighting their creative voice alongside other talented artists.

Don’t miss the chance to share your vision and gain meaningful recognition in both digital and conversational formats. Whether you choose one option or both, this is your moment to shine. Submit your work today and become part of this inspiring creative platform!

Important: Please be aware that submitted artwork will undergo a juried selection process, and inclusion is not guaranteed.
